About NDOC (New Dragons Outrigger Club)

NDOC is an extension of NDRC. Its purpose is to support and introduce athletes to small boats. Members are not required to be on NDRC.
Small boat crafts currently include: OC1, OC2, OC6, Surfski, and SUP.
Members can choose which races they wish to attend or not attend, and are encouraged to share interest in any races not on the racing schedule with members of the NDOC community.

OC6 Racing

NDOC will participate in both competitive and recreational divisions.
Consideration for competitive crew selection includes:
- Paddler’s performance in OC1 races
- Paddler’s experience in race conditions (ex. change races, downwinds, and extreme waves (6ft+))
- Paddler’s experience in seat positions (ex. pacing, spiking, steering)
- Ability to blend with crew
- Members are not required to be on NDRC to join NDOC but if they are an active member of another dragon boat team priority will be given to NDRC members.
Recreational crew selections will be organized to help members fill boats. These will be fun races with focus on helping crews gain experience in OC6 racing.
